WITH THE STATE BOARD OF TOURISM, MAZATLAN, MEXICO: Performed a research study on Mazatlán as a tourist destination. Administered
surveys, tabulated data using SPSS and produced reports based on my findings as well as made recommendations. Frequent
interaction with tourists.

VOLUNTEERING AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
March, 2007 - present: Currently serving as
president of SSMBA Student Union. Tasks include leading the council, planning and co-ordinating social and academic
events and contributing ideas at weekly meetings.
May, 1999 - December, 1999: Performed as Residence
Director on Ryerson's Students' Administrative Council (RyeSAC) Board of Directors. Represented the residences at Ryerson
and took part in school-wide decision-making.
September, 1998 - December, 1999: Selected as
Residence Council President for Ryerson Residences. Duties included heading a council, conducting meetings and organizing
residence-wide events (for 700+ people).
September, 1997 -May, 1999: Performed on the
Executive Committee for Hospitality Update/World a series of events and conferences hosted by Ryerson. Students were invited
from colleges/universities in Canada and the United States to take part in an interactive conference dealing with tourism-related
issues.
July, 1993 - August, 1993: Volunteered in Israel
for Project Renewal, a program designed to aid teenagers in under-developed areas of the country.
SPECIAL SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Won an SSMBA scholarship for academic excellence
in Spring Semester 2008.
Won silver prize in the Seoul City Photo and Essay Contest
in 2007.
Languages: Fluent in English and French. Intermediate
Spanish. A little Korean! Enrolled in a Korean language class.
I am a selected recipient of the Dennis Mock Award, which recognized
ten students from the graduating classes of 2001 for their leadership and overall contribution to the Ryerson community at
the university level.
Received an Award of Merit from the School of Hospitality and
Tourism Management at Ryerson for my involvement with the Hospitality Update/World 2000 conference in 1998 and 1999.
Computer literate. Trained in Windows, Microsoft programs,
the Internet, SPSS and Minitab.
I have lived in the United States, Mexico and South Korea and
have travelled extensively throughout the world.
